Sorry, I just thought this post would get lonely unless someone left a comment to keep it company. I will add "byrokraatti" to my list of Finnish words that maybe, just maybe, I may remember one day (perhaps in about 50 years or so). The Welsh word for "telephone" is... teleffon. (It looks better with a circumflex) Just thought you'd like to know that.

Very thoughtful of you - catalogues don't inspire everyone! 'Byrokraatti' means 'a bureaucrat'. 'Byrokratia' = 'bureaucracy'.Finnish for telephone is ´puhelin', although in old texts and songs they sometimes talk about 'telefooni'.
