- Dorothy Parker
Runo löytyi Frank Moorhousen tuoreesta Martini - A memoir -kirjasta.
A poem found from the latest by Frank Moorhouse: Martini - A memoir. For me one (a very dry one) is enough, and the glass should be small. In fact, my Martini is a combination of a Martini and a Gibson, because I like to have both olives and cocktail onions in it. The slight flavour of pickles makes me forget it is really just booze.

Nice poem. Dorothy Parker did have a way with words, (as well as Martinis, apparently). I have never heard of a "Gibson". Hopefully it is not named after that Nu Ziland actor?

Oh Denis, don't you start whipping up racial tensions in my blog! But no, I don't think Gibson has anything to do with Nu Ziland. Take the olive out of a martini and replace it it with a cocktail onion. Voil? ! A Gibson! And we all know what kind of gin one uses for a Martini.

Dorothy Parkerilla sanat soljuivat vaivattomasti -kuten varmaan myös muukin soljuminen.Ihana runo.
