For anyone interested (and surely everyone is!) in the proposal to pump water from the Kangaloon aquifer: Sydney Catchment Authority's groundwater investigations are on public display until Friday 18 August 2006. This is the time to comment and raise any concerns that have to do with the plan.

Some background information about the possible effects of the groundwater extraction on our rivers, springs, wetlands etc. can be found on a blog maintained by a member of the newly established Upper Nepean Groundwater Community Reference Group.

A lot of useful information is also available on Denis's blog - there are a number of articles that have to do with this issue directly or indirectly, so take some time to browse through Denis's archives.
